It’s officially February, and in honor of a month that celebrates love, we are proud to be sponsoring a partnership with the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House charity. The LARMH has served Southern California families since 1980, and provides them a “home away from home” while a child is undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital. Their mission is to "create a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy by keeping families close to each other and the care they need."
Located on Fountain Ave. across the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the LARMH originated as a 12,000 square foot - 16-room facility. Today, the house, with the adjacent Helm Building, has grown to accommodate up to 75 families a night and has served more than 35,000 families with their amenities.
This month, a Mother’s Haven is hosting a donation drive in support of the LARMH. We ask that you can help and support the cause by purchasing items on their wish list (see below). Any caring donation(s) dropped off at our store will be given a 15% discount off their next purchase at our boutique as a token of our gratitude. We will be collecting items through the end of February. At the end of the month, we will drop off collected items at the LARMH and provide a cooked meal for one of the families currently staying at the house.
It’s a great nonprofit organization and foundation that we are happy to partner with and we hope we can provide as much items on their wish list with your support.
